September is a very important month for The Valerie Fund. In the United States, September has been designated both National Children's Cancer Awareness Month and National Sickle Cell Awareness Month. The healthcare heroes of The Valerie Fund Children's Centers are dedicated to supporting the children who battle both pediatric cancer and blood disorders so we want to share a little bit more about these two special designations as well as what we can all do during this time to maximize the support for our kids.

The Morgan Stanley Rec Day for kids of The Valerie Fund is always a great day for everyone involved but this year was extra special. Held in a brand new location full of surprises around every corner, our kids and families had a wild day of adventure. 

Alberto's Angels is a stand-out team at The Valerie Fund Walk & 5K. Going far above and beyond fundraising for the Walk & 5K, they host multiple events per year as a way to help support the kids and families of The Valerie Fund. Let's take a look at what they have been up to and some of the incredible events they've put on. 

Kids Ice Cancer and The Valerie Fund once again teamed up to support children battling cancer and blood disorders with an exhibition hockey game featuring some of the brightest young stars in hockey in our area. A major milestone was reached this year as well so read on to see what happened!

 In early 2021, The Valerie Fund was contacted by a local attorney who wanted to do more to help kids in this area. What happened next became an inspiration to everyone involved and helped Valerie Fund families continue to get the support they needed. 

The month of May hosts two national holidays that are very close to the heart for us at The Valerie Fund. Both National Hospitals Week and National Nurses Week take place in May and we literally would not be here without either our hospital partners or dedicated nurses. 

The staff of The Valerie Fund help raise the money that support the seven Children's Centers in hospitals across New Jersey, New York City, and metro Philadelphia. Our staff is responsible for working with donors and partners at all levels to fund the services of The Valerie Fund.
