Thank you to everyone who came out on June 8th for the 2019 Valerie Fund Walk & JAG-ONE Physical Therapy 5K! We had a truly remarkable day in Verona Park filled with fun, fundraising, and a deep sense of community. Why The Valerie Fund loved hosting Grace’s House!

The integrity of a house rests on its foundation. The foundation of Grace’s House was laid by a remarkable group of supporters and their efforts exceeded all of The Valerie Fund’s expectations. They came together to bring a 150 year-old, heavily damaged house, not only back to its former elegance but one we were proud to share as a “visual feast of gorgeous home design.” The sublime experience that was Grace’s House accomplished so much on so many levels.

Our Walkers and Runners are doing a phenomenal job spreading the word about The Valerie Fund Walk & JAG-ONE Physical Therapy 5K on June 8, 2019 in Essex County's Verona Park. Patients, Walkers, Runners, and family are hitting the airwaves to spread awareness of children battling caner and blood disorders so we have collected a few recent videos you may have missed.

Many people use music to get through a bad time or to give them the power to fight back. Some people use music to put them in a good mood or to translate what they're feeling. Each month we will bring you a playlist from one of our Valerie Fund kids with a different theme and they will explain, in their own words, what these songs mean to them.

We would like to take a moment to spotlight some of these wonderful designers and to learn what inspired them to participate in Grace’s House, a Valerie Fund Show House.

The Valerie Fund could not exist without a network of dedicated, talented, and absolutely incredible volunteers who give their time to help support a cause that is important to them. April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month and as we look back, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the people who help make the organization run.

At first glance, the town of Plainfield, NJ appears to be just like many of the municipalities that make up the Garden State but take a closer look and you’ll find a rich history of industry, music, affluence, and even the American Revolution. In April 2019, another chapter of Plainfield’s history is written as The Valerie Fund opens the doors to Grace’s House, a designer show house to benefit expanded care for children with cancer and blood disorders.

The Avengers may be hitting theaters again this year but it is important to remember that #NotAllHeroesWearCapes! Let's take a look at how we can all help our super heroes.
