The Healthcare Heroes of The Valerie Fund: Educational Liaison

Posted by The Valerie Fund on 4/5/21 7:00 AM

BLOG FB Image LD Child Life SocialThe Valerie Fund Children's Centers are home to many healthcare heroes who support our kids during some of the most difficult times of their lives. These caregivers are experts in a variety of practices. We will be showcasing each service provided in our Children's Centers and hearing from the healthcare providers in their own words what they do for our kids and families. In this installment, we are going to learn about the Educational Liaisons.

The Centers’ caregivers are experts in a variety of practices. We will be showcasing the dedicated work of our healthcare heroes and hearing in their own words what they do for our kids and families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

Originally aired during the virtual program of the 29th Annual Thanksgiving Ball Gala in November 2020, this Learning Depot presentation provides insight into the Educational Liaisons of The Valerie Fund's Children Centers.

Part of being a kid is being in school. Our educational liaisons advocate for patients and serve as a go-between so students can continue their education throughout their illness. This program was started in 2003 by our very first Educational Liaison, Joann Spera.

Please enjoy this presentation and we will be shining the spotlight on our other disciplines soon so stay tuned.
