The Healthcare Heroes of The Valerie Fund: Child Life & Social Work

Posted by The Valerie Fund on 1/27/21 2:20 PM

BLOG FB Image LD Child Life SocialThe Valerie Fund Children's Centers are home to many healthcare heroes who support our kids during some of the most difficult times of their lives. These caregivers are experts in a variety of practices. We will be showcasing each service provided in our Children's Centers and hearing from the healthcare providers in their own words what they do for our kids and families. In this installment, we are going to learn about the Child Life Specialists and Social Workers.

Originally aired during the virtual program of the 29th Annual Thanksgiving Ball Gala in November 2020, this Learning Depot presentation provides insight into the Child Life Specialists and Social Workers of The Valerie Fund's Children Centers. Our seven centers across New Jersey, New York City, and metro Philadelphia support the children and families of The Valerie Fund by providing an array of services at no cost. Many of these services are not covered by insurance and would be unattainable by our families without the dedicated work of our healthcare heroes.

Please enjoy this presentation and we will be shining the spotlight on our other disciplines soon so stay tuned.
