The Valerie Fund could not exist without a network of dedicated, talented, and absolutely incredible volunteers who give their time to help support a cause that is important to them. April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month and as we look back, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the people who help make the organization run.
Valerie Fund families know all too well how important and life-changing a little help can be. A small contribution from someone can make your life exponentially better, be it taking a few hours to help out at The Valerie Fund Walk & JAG-ONE Physical Therapy 5K that supports The Valerie Fund Children's Centers, someone buying your child a new toy to brighten their day, or even a friend bringing your family dinner one night a week so you don't have to worry about it.
This sense of giving back is integral to The Valerie Fund community and we literally cannot thank our stellar volunteers enough. They make the world turn for our Valerie Fund Families and let us all focus on the kids and making this time in their lives the best it can be.
There are, of course, other ways to help as well. We are lucky to have such dedicated people offer their time to help with projects in The Valerie Fund office as well as special events such as Grace's House, our Walk/5K runs, golf outings, and Thanksgiving Ball gala. Each and every person who donates their time is a part of the family that makes The Valerie Fund able to provide the care that it does.
We want to thank everyone who gives of their time to help others in any capacity. Below are just some of the examples in which volunteers have made an enormous difference in The Valerie Fund and for every one of its families. We truly are a community and the support we give each other cannot be measured.
